Lekha collaborates with female-owned artisan workshops in rural Indian communities to help women gain financial stability and independence.
Through our work with the Saheli Women, we have:
– helped train 200 female artisans.
– assisted in placing 500 girls in schools.
– created the first and only female health center in Bhikamkor.
– begun the process of funding and building a library and arts center.
Founded in 2017, Lekha is inspired by the easygoing, festive spirit of New Orleans—where our founder Trishala Bhansali grew up—and the lush color palette and skilled artisans of India, where she spent her summers.OUR STORY
