saheli mango madhu caftan
in partnership with the saheli women, based in rural rajasthan. our madhu caftan is made from the softest upcycled cotton fabric, this time in a subtle mango stripe with a white sari border. long cascading sleeves and flowing body, with a conservative plunging vneck, we love this caftan worn out with a low heel, or poolside with a flip flop. on a recent trip to visit the saheli women, we were excited to learn their new embroidery and crochet skills, and wanted to implement them in a few easy styles. at the neckline, pale beige crochet borders the hand loomed cotton, and embroidered florals are found on the upper back. we were thrilled with how these subtle details transformed the simple designs! this style is semi-sheer.
